CHART Workshops and Panels to Help You Learn More About Opportunities with Lloyds of London

Each CHART-sponsored event will include a number of workshops and panels. These breakout sessions are designed to educate and inform members about a wide range of industry-specific issues. Panels serve as a platform through which both risk takers and vendors can present products and services in an interactive format.

WORKSHOPS

Each workshop is fifty minutes long and is dedicated to a single topic. The breakout session is moderated by a single member company; multiple representatives from the firm can participate in the presentation. Both the topic and the content must be approved by the appropriate CHART sub-committee within 20 business days of the event. Audio visual equipment and a laptop computer will be provided in the assigned break-out room. Each venue will have seating for 55-60 people; attaching limitations on attendance will allow for optimal interaction between the presenters and their audience. Most workshops will be repeated during the three-day event to help insure maximum participation.

Presentation materials will be made available on a password-restricted section of the CHART website (accessible to members only) at the conclusion of the meeting.

Workshops can be used as a platform to discuss a wide variety of topics, including:

1. Changes in the regulatory environment

2. London-related processing issues (compliance, steps toward tribunalization, how to submit a program proposal, etc.)

3. Overview of a Syndicates’ risk appetites and underwriting philosophies

4. Introduction of a new insurance product

5. Review of a Vendor Partner’s servicing capabilities.

The cost of moderating a workshop is $5,000.

RISK TAKER/VENDOR PANELS

Each panel will be fifty minutes long and limited to no more than 4 participants. CHART personnel will moderate the session to make sure that the presentation time is distributed equitably. Adequate time will be reserved at the end to allow for audience questions. Every effort will be made to insure that participants offer like products and services.

Audio visual equipment and a laptop computer will be provided in the assigned break-out room. We encourage all participants to preload their slideshows on the PCs prior to the start of each session; this will allow for a more seamless transition amongst the presentations.
